It looks like you had your images in your hand like a set of cards and kind of let them go onto the paper and let them spread from one corner to the other. Despite this it still looks like there is deliberate order to your placement.
The yellow in the bottom right and top middle work with the red in the bottom left to make a triangle that draws the eyes over the entire collage.
It also looks like are a few postcard-type pictures there so maybe travel could be a theme.
